Significant Achievements
- Coordinated, led and successfully
executed a significant number of software development oriented research
projects with funding from external agencies. These include areas such as
geometric modelling, CAD/CAM/CAE, Indian language computing, high end
graphics including VR systems and multimedia, Web graphics for E-commerce,
etc. Currently Chief investigator for a major national level project on
interactive online learning.
- Have been actively involved in
creating and maintaining collaborative links with major IT suppliers
including Digital/Compaq, Intel, Microsoft, Aonix, Rational etc.. These
links have enabled NCST to obtain substantive inputs in the form of hardware
and software.
- Responsible for large projects

Have designed, coordinated and
led one of the country’s most respected industry focussed continuing

advanced topics in the field of software technology.
Have undertaken expert
consultancy missions for United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and
also for United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO). Such
missions usually require one to visit the site of a UN aided project and
provide professional consultancy on specialised topics to the executing
agency.
